I've been reading about Kentrell Thompson's case, and I can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for him in those final moments. Sitting in his car, early morning, just minding his own business when someone approached with such violent intentions. It's truly chilling. The Goose Island area, like much of Chicago at that time, seemed to be caught up in these random, senseless tragedies. I hope justice is eventually served for Kentrell and that his family finds some peace. This pattern of violence is just too much to bear, not only for the families directly impacted but for the whole community living in constant fear. What measures are actually being taken to address this? It often feels like solutions are just talk, and meanwhile, we lose more lives like Kentrell's—a life full of potential, known to loved ones as NuNu. It's just so unfair and gut-wrenching to see these young men cut down like this. Let's keep pressing for real change; these stories shouldn't just fade away.
Has anyone here heard any updates on the surveillance footage from the gas station where Kentrell was killed? I remember there was talk about cameras possibly capturing the shooter approaching the car. With it being such a busy area, it seems like there should’ve been something caught on camera. Maybe that footage can bring some much-needed answers for Kentrell's family and help move this case forward. It's just so frustrating to think that with all the technology we have, this case still hasn't seen any new developments. My thoughts go out to NuNu’s loved ones; I can't imagine the pain they're enduring each day without justice or closure. If anyone has any information or ideas about where this case stands, please share.
