I've been thinking about the climate in Tooele around the time Rick Morris went missing. It gets pretty chilly at night, even in late June. If Rick left home disoriented and without a shirt, it's possible that the cold could have further disoriented him or even caused him to seek shelter somewhere nearby. Did any of the initial search efforts focus on places like abandoned buildings or secluded spots where he might have taken cover? Considering his medical condition, he could have ended up in a place where no one thought to look. Just a thought—hoping for some new ideas that might help the search in some way.
Has anyone looked into the possibility that Vern "Rick" Morris might have gotten a ride from someone the night he disappeared? Given his disoriented state, I'm wondering if he could have accepted a lift from someone who didn't realize how vulnerable he was. It seems odd that there’d be reported sightings so far from Tooele, like in Carlin, Nevada, without any evidence of how he got there. If local authorities haven’t already, maybe they could check if any ride-sharing services were active around that time, or reach out to truck stops on those routes. Sometimes drivers don’t realize they're transporting someone who’s in distress. Just a thought. Stay strong, everyone.
