It really hits hard to think about how many people are affected by this devastating incident in Portage. Having known Brandy through her role at Portage High School, it's clear she left a positive impact on so many students. It’s chilling to think how fragile life can be—just last year, she was fighting bravely against cancer with Charles by her side. It’s perplexing to reconcile his actions considering how supportive he seemed during her illness. My heart goes out especially to their daughter, who is facing unimaginable pain now. Her bravery in calling 911 during such a terrifying moment speaks volumes. I hope the community rallying around her and her siblings can provide some comfort and support. Does anyone know how the GoFundMe is doing? I saw it’s established to help the children, and I’d love to contribute in some small way to honor Brandy’s memory. It’s clear she was a hero to many, and her legacy deserves to continue. If anyone has updates on how Brandy's daughter is doing, or if there's anything else the community is organizing to support them, please share. This is such a tightly knit area, and I’m sure, like me, many are feeling powerless but want to help.
