I can't stop thinking about how Susan Voigt must be feeling after everything that unfolded on that terrible night. Not only did she lose her husband in such a violent manner, but she also suffered at the hands of her own son. It's unimaginable to comprehend the emotional and physical trauma she's enduring. What strikes me is the pressure and familial conflict that seemed to permeate their home. Joseph's action was horrific, and I'm not excusing that in any way. However, it makes me wonder how often family tensions escalate to such a devastating point. Could there have been signs or opportunities for intervention beforehand? The fact that Susan found the strength to call for help, even after sustaining such a serious injury, speaks volumes about her resilience. I hope she has a strong support system around her now to help navigate these overwhelming times. Thoughts and prayers go out to her and to Marvin, who lost his life so tragically.
