I’ve been thinking a lot about the brave little sister who managed to escape during the horrific events that unfolded in Galena Park. I can’t even begin to imagine the strength it took for a 12-year-old to carry her 1-year-old niece and flee to safety. Her courage is truly remarkable. It’s absolutely gut-wrenching to think about what she witnessed that night, losing beloved family members and friends.
I hope the community continues to rally around her and provides all the support and counseling she needs to heal from this trauma. It’s so important for her to feel she’s not alone through all of this. Sending thoughts of love and strength to her, and anyone else impacted by this devastating loss.
