I've been following the tragic case of Cherokee Love in west Phoenix, and my heart truly goes out to her family and friends during this unimaginably tough time. The news struck me deeply, especially considering how young Cherokee was. I find myself reflecting on the area where this happened. 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road isn't unfamiliar to me, and it's unsettling to think something so violent could occur in a place some of us might pass by regularly.
It's frustrating how there's still no suspect information. It makes you wonder about the little details that could have led to this, or if there were any signs leading up to the tragedy that might have gone unnoticed. I can't help but think of how many lives are affected when a young person is lost in such a senseless way.
If anyone knows anything—no matter how small or insignificant it might seem—reaching out to Silent Witness could really help. Let's hope for justice for Cherokee and some peace for her loved ones. Stay safe, everyone.

I can't stop thinking about Cherokee Love's tragic death. An 18-year-old with so much life ahead of her being taken in such a violent way is just unbearable. I keep wondering about the community’s response to such a terrible incident. Are there any community events or vigils happening in Phoenix to honor her memory? It's crucial for us as a community to come together and support Cherokee's family during this devastating time. If anyone hears about events or ways to help, please share.
