I can't stop thinking about the impact on the child who witnessed this tragic event. This young one saw their world crumble in an instant and will carry that memory forever. It’s comforting to know they've been placed with family members, but I really hope they have access to counseling and support resources to help process this trauma. The community’s response seems thoughtful, but it's times like these that really test the strength and resilience of a town. How can we better support children like this in our communities who face such unimaginable hardships? My heart goes out to the entire San Saba community as they navigate this difficult time.
