I'm still troubled by the murder of Jamerson Hawthorne in Waco. I can't get it out of my mind, especially thinking about how the community has come together to try and find answers but with seemingly no luck. It's bewildering to me that despite the appeals from the police and public cries for help, there haven't been any substantial leads.
I was really touched by Chief Victorian’s comments. It's clear that she's genuinely concerned about maintaining a sense of safety for everyone in Waco. I just keep wondering what more can be done to get people to speak up. It seems like someone must have seen or heard something that night, and perhaps they don't realize what they know could be crucial.
Also, that unidentified woman who was with Hawthorne - my heart goes out to her. Surviving such a traumatic event is no small thing, and I hope she has a strong support system around her. If she ever decides to share her story, it might make a big difference in understanding what happened.
