I’ve been following the Cody Miller case ever since I first heard about it, and I can’t stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for his sister to find him like that. I cannot even begin to imagine the emotional impact on her and I hope she has a strong support system around her during this time. It upsets me that the report of gunfire didn’t lead to an immediate reaction. It makes me wonder about the response protocols in place for these types of incidents. Are there issues with resource allocation that prevent investigation of reports like this before it's too late? While I understand there are numerous cases to handle, it feels like there needs to be more proactive measures when gunfire is reported in densely populated areas. Has anyone seen any updates from the community meetings or local efforts to improve safety? I want to believe that Cody's case might bring about some positive changes, even if it’s in a small way, to prevent similar tragedies.
