It's incredibly jarring to hear about something like this happening to someone so young in broad daylight. My thoughts are with Christopher's family and all those close to him; I can't even begin to imagine the pain they're going through. One thing that stands out to me in this case is the community's role in both supporting the family and in potentially solving this tragedy. The GoFundMe that was set up shows how people can come together to help in such difficult times, but I hope that the same community spirit can be harnessed to help the investigators catch those responsible. It's crucial that anyone who might have seen something comes forward. If this was a known act of retaliation, there's got to be someone out there who knows more about it. It's beyond sad that it takes losing a young life to remind us of the terrible impact violence can have on our communities. Let's hope justice is served, not just for Christopher and his loved ones, but to help prevent future tragedies like this from happening.
