Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the details surrounding Alea Briones' tragic passing, and I can't shake the feeling of how unbearably senseless this accident was. Imagine a young girl with her whole life ahead of her, and in just a split second, everything changes. What really strikes me is the situation with the firearm. It’s scary to think that someone was handling a gun, trying to take it apart in what must have seemed like a casual setting, without realizing the potential danger. Why wasn't the gun unloaded beforehand? It just breaks my heart to think that this could have been avoided with just a bit more caution and attention.
I can't even begin to imagine the pain her family and friends must be going through right now. It's a grim reminder for all of us about the importance of firearm safety and making sure that tragedies like this don’t keep happening. It’s upsetting to know that, despite a tragedy like this, there’s every chance it could happen again somewhere else if people aren’t incredibly careful. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for others who keep firearms, to ensure those terrible accidents are minimized. Staying safe and responsible with guns is something we all should be thinking about.
Sending love and strength to Alea’s family and everyone affected. ?️

Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Alea Briones' tragic passing and how it happened during such a violent weekend in San Antonio. It's so devastating to hear about someone so young being taken from their family and friends in such a senseless way. I noticed that Police Chief McManus made a statement about the need for accountability and gun safety after the shootings that weekend, and I couldn't agree more.
It's frustrating to think that incidents like this keep happening, and it just underscores how crucial it is for all of us to be more cautious and educated about firearm management. I'm hoping that her story will inspire some change in our communities and spark conversations about what measures we can take to prevent these tragedies in the future. My heart goes out to Alea's loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable time. They shouldn't have to be dealing with this kind of pain.
