I can't stop thinking about the incredible bond Duane and Keyan must have shared. It’s just unimaginable to lose two lives so connected in such a violent way. What stands out to me is the strength of their family and community during this devastating time. Their funeral must have been so overwhelming for everyone who knew and loved them. Does anyone here know more about the services or how the community has been coping since their tragic loss? My heart goes out to all who were impacted by this senseless crime.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragic loss of Duane and Keyan Jernigan. I can't imagine what their family is going through. Something that keeps running through my mind is the pursuit that ended Gates' flight in Longview. Has anyone else thought about those tense moments? The stress that must have been felt on both sides – knowing that this pursuit was linked to such a terrible act. It's awful to think of how quickly lives can change and be lost over senseless violence. Sending lots of love to everyone affected. Please keep sharing your thoughts and updates as this case unfolds.
