Has anyone else noticed the tragic pattern that's been happening in Chicago, especially in places like Brighton Park? It's so disheartening to see events meant for mourning turn into scenes of violence. Michael Sat Williams didn’t deserve what happened. He was just there to honor someone else, and it’s such a cruel twist that his life was taken in such a senseless act. I just keep thinking about how it feels for the families of Michael and Adriana. They were trying to find closure, yet they were thrust back into pain and loss. It's hard to imagine living with that constant threat over your shoulder every time you attend what should be a peaceful gathering. Does anyone have insights into what's being done in the community since then? Are there any organizations that might be trying to offer more protection at vigils, or is there a movement to change how these gatherings are approached to keep people safe? It just seems like something has to change to prevent these tragedies from continuing. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this.
