I’ve been thinking about the impact this tragedy must have on the students and staff at David K. Sellars Elementary School. Losing someone who’s been such a consistent presence in their lives for so long must be incredibly difficult. Yolanda Gibbs clearly touched so many people with her dedication and kindness. I can’t imagine how the students must be feeling right now. It’s like losing a family member. I hope the school is providing the necessary emotional support to help everyone process this devastating loss. Sending all my love to her family and the school community during this incredibly challenging time.
Has anyone else been following the case of Yolanda Gibbs? I can't stop thinking about her dedication to the students and how she spent 30 years creating a supportive environment for them. It's so moving to see how she touched so many lives, and the vigil held in her honor really brought that to light. Seeing her daughter's deep sorrow and hearing about what a rock she was for her family makes this even more difficult to comprehend. I hope the community can find some peace in her memory and that the investigators can bring clarity to this tragedy soon. Sending my thoughts and love to all those affected.
