Has anyone dug into the weather reports for Girdwood and the Crow Pass Trail around September 21, 2021? I was just thinking about how treacherous conditions can get on that trail, even for a seasoned hiker like Fisk. I remember reading about some late-season storms that were pretty brutal that year. It's always a concern when Mother Nature gets involved, especially with the river crossings and elevation changes on that path. Really makes you wonder about the impact of those conditions on someone's ability to find their way safely. I feel like this angle could give us some insight into what Fisk might have been dealing with. Wondering if any locals or other hikers have shared experiences from that time.
