Hey everyone,
I haven't been able to stop thinking about the tragedy in Orange, Texas. My thoughts keep circling back to Porsha Sauntavious Kiel Lewis and the unbearable loss her surviving kids must be facing. I read in her obituary how she was such a dedicated mom and always put her family front and center in her life. I can't even begin to imagine the void they must be feeling right now.
It's hard to make sense of Lester Lewis's actions, especially when you consider they shared children. It makes you question what could drive someone to such an extreme. I hope the ongoing investigation brings some clarity not just to the public, but especially to those directly affected, like Porsha's children.
We have to remember to hold our loved ones close and show them how much they mean to us. Life is so unpredictable. Sending love and strength to everyone hurting from this senseless tragedy.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of domestic violence in this tragedy. It’s so important to recognize the warning signs and acknowledge how often these kinds of situations can turn deadly. Porsha seemed to be a dedicated mother and a valued part of her community, and it’s so difficult to comprehend how things went so wrong. Lester's actions have left a path of devastation, especially for those children who now must navigate life without their mom.
I feel for Porsha’s surviving kids—losing so many family members at once is unimaginable. We can only hope they have a strong support system to guide them through this. This case is a harsh reminder of how crucial it is for communities to rally together and provide resources for those in potentially abusive relationships. It’s just a tragic situation all around.
I still can't wrap my head around the devastating loss of four lives in one morning. It's particularly haunting to think about the impact on the surviving children of Porsha. I can't imagine the kind of trauma and grief they must be experiencing now, losing not just one, but three family members all at once. Being so young and having to process such a horrific event is unimaginable.
What breaks me is thinking about Porsha's dedication to her kids, reflected in her achievements and the love her community showered her with. She was so accomplished, an honor graduate, and managed to raise such a beautiful family even amidst life's challenges. Her legacy, although cut short, speaks volumes about her strength and resilience.
I hope the community continues to rally around her children and offers support in every form possible. It’s crucial for them to feel that they’re not alone, and that a whole community stands behind them for anything they might need in the future. The community must participate in healing, as collective support might be the only comfort these kids have right now.
