I can't stop thinking about the sheer value of the watch Cleiver was wearing that night. It's so unsettling how something so extravagant could become a focal point and motive for such a brutal crime. It makes you think about how material possessions, no matter their worth, can sometimes endanger our lives. Cleiver was just out there living his life, like any 22-year-old, trying to enjoy his accomplishments. My heart goes out to his family, who are now left grappling with this tragedy. The gravity of losing a loved one over something like a watch is something no family should ever have to endure. I hope they're getting all the support they need and that Cleiver's story encourages open dialogues about the value and risks of luxury in our communities.
