The part of this tragic story that deeply resonates with me is Jewel's phone call to 911. I can't even begin to fathom the strength and presence of mind it must have taken for her to make that call after being shot. Imagining her alone, in pain, but still trying to reach out for help, is just gut-wrenching. Her bravery is undeniable. She thought of her children first, locking them away safely, and then tried everything she could to get help. This entire situation is so tragic and unfair, and it just underscores how important it is for us to support efforts that prevent domestic violence and to ensure that everyone knows there are resources and people who care, ready to help. My heart goes out to her kids, her family, and everyone who's been affected by this senseless tragedy. ?

I can't stop thinking about the bravery Jewel showed in her final moments. It hits me hard to realize just how incredibly protective she was as a mother, even under unimaginable stress. Locking her babies in a different room shows how much she put their safety before her own, which says a lot about her character. I'm grateful the kids are safe, but my heart goes out to them and their family, knowing they'll grow up with this huge loss. Has anyone heard if the community is rallying around the family or if there’s been a memorial set up? Sometimes these small gestures offer a bit of comfort to those left behind.
