Does anyone here know more about the concerns residents have had around Brookemeade Drive? It’s so disheartening to hear that neighbors feel unsafe in their own homes, especially when considering what happened to Carddell. His family’s already endured so much, moving here for a better life, and yet they're met with this tragedy. The reports about students loitering and potentially getting involved with drugs are alarming, especially so close to a school. It’s hard not to think about how these issues might have contributed to the atmosphere that put Carddell in harm’s way. Was the HPD aware of these concerns before Carddell's death, and if so, were any steps taken to address them? Also, if there are any updates or details about community meetings or efforts to improve neighborhood safety, please share. The more the community stays informed and involved, the better chance we have of preventing such tragedies and helping Carddell's family find some sense of justice.
