I keep thinking about the lack of urgency sometimes when cases go cold and how frustrating that must be for the victim’s loved ones. What’s especially troubling about Todderrius Watson’s case is that there seemed to be no witnesses or leads, even though it occurred in the parking lot of a business. You'd think someone at least saw or heard something. It really makes you question how much people are willing to come forward when they have information that could potentially solve a crime. Watson had a son who now has to grow up without a father. I can’t even imagine what his family must be going through, especially his twin sister, who must feel such a profound absence in her life. I hope that people who might have been in the area or know something will find the courage to speak up. Whether it’s fear or apathy holding them back, I sincerely hope they realize the impact their silence has on a family seeking justice for a loved one. Let’s hope that new leads emerge, and closure can finally be provided to those closest to Todderrius.
