I'm beyond shocked to hear about the tragic turn this case has taken. The way authorities have handled this investigation raises so many questions. My deepest sympathies go out to Phillip Esslinger’s family; I can't imagine the pain they're going through, especially now knowing it wasn't just a terrible accident. One thing that really puzzles me is how Trintton Crisp is still employed at the detention center despite these serious allegations. It doesn't sit right with me, and I can see how it would add to the family’s distress. It makes me wonder about the protocols for situations like this and whether there's a lack of accountability or oversight within the system. Can anyone shed light on why he'd still be allowed to work there?

it wasn’t poor investigation on the police. Trintonn dad is the sheriff so he has connections and right now the police department is pulling shady stuff. There are 3 people testifying and they are trying to discredit one of them to not testify. I also hear that trintonn max sentence will be probation. If he’s so innocent and max sentence is probation why did he hide the shells? They were best friends but what he did was stupid and his family wants justice he needs to plea guilty and sentence to life. Because Philip lost those years and can’t get it back.

What in the world prompted him to shoot him? How do you just shoot your best freind? It says it was thought an accident and now intentional but you are saying max is probation is what he will get. How is this possible? If what you are saying is true that community is so corrupt. This is horrible for Phillips family. So sad.

Hey everyone. This case has really been weighing on my mind, and I just wanted to share some thoughts about the memorial service held for Phillip Edward Esslinger III. I didn’t attend personally, but hearing about how the community came together on May 4th to celebrate his life at the First Baptist Church in Rockport is touching and impactful.
It seemed like Phillip was cherished by so many, and the turn-out at the service just shows how important he was to the people around him. From what I've read, he was a young man with varied interests and a deep love for the outdoors. Those are memories that can bring comfort to his loved ones in this dark time.
Friends and family gathering at the service to share stories and remember the good times feels like a crucial part of healing, even though nothing can bring Phillip back. Given how deeply this tragedy has affected those who knew him, it’s heartening to see the community standing strong and supporting each other. I hope they find solace in the fond memories and the love that undoubtedly surrounded Phillip throughout his life. ?️
