I can't stop thinking about the impact Mishawn's loss must have had on his school community. At just 15, he should've been finishing up the school year, looking forward to the summer, and spending time with friends. It really hits hard knowing a young life with so much potential just ended so suddenly and senselessly. I can't imagine the emotional impact on teachers and classmates who knew him. This isn't just about numbers or statistics; these were real connections and futures being shattered. How are schools in Chicago supporting students who go through such traumatic experiences? Are there enough counselors or programs to help them process these tragedies? It feels like something has to change so these kids can see a brighter, safer future. My heart goes out to Mishawn's friends and family during this incredibly difficult time.
