Something that’s really been haunting me about the Werner case is their planned vacation to the Pacific Northwest. It sounded like such a beautiful trip, full of adventure and probably something they’d been looking forward to for a long time. The fact that they had plans for the future makes this situation even more puzzling. How does a couple that was so intertwined with their community and had dreams of new experiences come to such a tragic end? I can't begin to imagine the confusion and pain their friends and family must be feeling. Was there any sign of trouble that friends or relatives might have noticed? It just makes you wonder how much we really know about what our loved ones are going through.
