Has anyone looked into the security camera footage from the Red Line station on the day Corvel D. Brown was tragically killed? I'm really hoping the authorities have been able to extract some clear images or video that could lead to identifying the individuals involved. It's such a shame that this happened in a place where so many people commute every day. I can't imagine the pain that Corvel's family is going through, knowing that his life was cut short so senselessly. The increased violence during that summer was terrifying, and it makes me wonder if there were adequate resources and preventive measures in place at the time. Praying that justice is served and that such a tragedy becomes a catalyst for real change in the safety of our public transit systems.
Has anyone else noticed how much focus there has been on the safety of Chicago's public transit stations since Corvel D. Brown's tragic murder in 2017? It's been over six years, and I feel like this incident was a wake-up call for the city, highlighting the urgent need for improved security measures. The fact that Corvel was so young—only 22—and lost his life in such a violent way has stayed with many in the community. I'm curious about what changes have actually been implemented at these transit hubs since then. Have any of you seen noticeable improvements, or do you think more needs to be done? I can't help but think about Corvel's family and what they're going through, wondering if they feel things have truly changed or if there's still a long way to go.
