Hey everyone, just thought I’d bring up something about the SSgt St Amand case that’s been bugging me. Has anyone looked into the weather and sea conditions on March 17, 1981, at Tarague Beach? I’ve read a few articles, but none seem to go in-depth about whether the tides or a storm might have played a role in his disappearance. Understanding what the conditions were like might give us more insight into what happened to him. Local reports or expert opinions could be really helpful. Anyone got info on this?

I just stumbled across the case of SSgt St Amand and it got me thinking about the conditions at Tarague Beach around the time he disappeared. Has anyone looked into whether there were any unusual currents or weather patterns reported on 17 Mar 1981? Maybe there was something unexpected in the water conditions that day which could have contributed to his disappearance. Also, if there were any other incidents in the area around the same time, it might provide some context. I know it's a long shot, but sometimes these little details can shed light on what might have happened. Thoughts?

Does anyone here have more info on the weather conditions at Tarague Beach on March 17, 1981? I know SSgt St Amand allegedly went swimming that day and is presumed to have drowned, but I'm curious if there were any reported riptides or unusually strong currents. The ocean can be unpredictable, and I'm wondering if the conditions might have played a role in his disappearance. ? It’s baffling how someone could vanish like that, especially on a military base. Any insights would be appreciated!
