Has anyone else been following Kerry Tate's case and noticed how it resurfaced on NamUs recently? I find it intriguing how some cases get a second look even decades later. The connection to the Jane Doe found in Morgan City is particularly compelling. Could there be DNA testing opportunities now that weren't available back in 1981? It's amazing what advances in technology can do, and it definitely could be a game-changer here. Curious if anyone has more details on how those unidentified cases are processed and whether there are any local efforts underway to revisit old evidence.
Anyone else think it's a bit odd that Kerry's case was only added to NamUs recently, after all these years? This is a step forward, sure, but what took so long? I mean, we're talking about a case from 1981, and it’s not like Kerry’s family hasn’t been vocal since day one. I wonder if it has to do with advancements in DNA tech or new eyes looking into cold cases. Maybe there's someone new on the team that's prioritizing these older cases? Whatever the reason, I'm hoping this will finally get people talking again and bring some new leads. Thoughts?
