I read about the tragic incident involving Peter Robert Noriega Jr., and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I can't help but think about the community in Los Banos and how this being the first homicide of the year might affect them. It's unsettling when a place you consider home is touched by such violence.

I'm really thinking about Peter's friends and family right now, what a terrible loss. I was wondering if anyone else knows whether there were any other witnesses around Pacheco Boulevard and Tanner Road that day? It's such a busy area, with a lot of people usually coming and going. Seems like an argument escalating to such violence is unusual, even more so in broad daylight. It's hard not to think about who else might have seen something or heard a part of the commotion before things got out of control. Maybe more people coming forward could help give some clarity to Peter's loved ones who must be trying to piece all this together. My heart goes out to everyone who knew him.
