I’ve been following the case of Ismael "Angel" Ledesma, and something that just sticks with me is the sheer brazenness of Anthony Michael Jacinto’s actions on the day of the murder. It’s almost surreal to think that after committing such a horrific act, he could just walk into a family dinner like nothing happened. I can’t help but feel for Angel’s family having to deal with this nightmare while also imagining the shock and horror his girlfriend’s family must have felt when Jacinto attacked again at their dinner. It’s unsettling how some people can mask such violent tendencies and blend into normal settings right after committing such violence. My thoughts are with Angel’s loved ones and the entire community affected by these events.
