I can't stop thinking about the bravery of Elmer's friend who managed to escape after being shot in the leg. It's so sad to imagine how traumatic this was for a teenager, having to process such violence and loss. I hope they are receiving the emotional support and counseling they need to heal from this nightmare. The emotional scars can last much longer than the physical ones. My thoughts are with them as well as Elmer's family. It’s encouraging to see that law enforcement is actively pursuing justice for Elmer and his family. Hopefully, the arrests bring some sense of relief to those affected, even though it doesn't bring Elmer back. I can't imagine how difficult it is for families dealing with the aftermath of such violence. Anyone with further information really should step forward to help ensure that all those responsible are held accountable.
