Hey everyone, It's difficult not to feel the weight of Cornell Verner's tragic death, especially knowing it happened during a particularly violent month in Chicago. I was reading about the community response, and it seems like there are some dedicated groups really trying to make a difference in Englewood. It's just so frustrating that despite these efforts, we see lives cut short like Cornell's. I'm curious if anyone has information about how these intervention programs are currently faring? Are they providing any glimmer of hope or success stories amidst all this? It's hard to get a clear picture when the news is often focused on the grim statistics. My heart goes out to Cornell's family and everyone still fighting for peace and safety in the neighborhood. Would love to hear any positive news or suggestions on how more support might be rallied to strengthen these initiatives. Stay safe everyone!
