Has anyone else been thinking about how terrifyingly calculated Fontanoza's actions were? It’s so unsettling to think that he used his insider knowledge as a UPS employee to track down his own childhood friend. The trust that must have existed between them makes this betrayal unfathomable. I can’t even imagine the pain Expedito’s family is feeling right now. For someone to whom you might have once shared childhood laughs with, to betray you in such a violent and premeditated way, it’s almost beyond comprehension. The whole thing just gives me chills. It’s distressing to think about how someone you know and work with could harbor such dark intentions. How is everyone else processing this? It just hits so hard to see how unexpectedly treacherous reality can be.
I've been following the De Leon case and still can't wrap my head around how someone could turn against a longtime friend and coworker like that. The precision with which Fontanoza tracked De Leon's route is chilling. It makes you wonder what was going through his mind, how much planning actually went into this, and why. De Leon seemed like such a dedicated worker and family man; it's hard to fathom the loss his family is enduring. I'm hoping for more clarity on Fontanoza's motives as the trial progresses because this is just utterly baffling. Sending strength to De Leon’s family and everyone who knew him—they deserve answers and justice for such a senseless act of violence.
