I've been following Derrick Nabors' tragic case and I'm haunted by the fact that his killer still hasn't been brought to justice. It's heart-wrenching to think about how his family must feel, knowing someone out there took his life and is still free. I read that the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood had seen a huge rise in violence around that time, and I just can't wrap my head around why it seems so many of these cases go unsolved. Does anyone know if there’s been any grassroots community effort to curb the violence there or provide support for families like the Nabors'? It seems like a place that's calling out for more resources and intervention. My thoughts are with Derrick's loved ones as they seek answers and some form of peace.
Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into Derrick Nabors' case from back in August 2017, and something that really stands out to me is the lack of progress in identifying who was responsible for his death. It's just so tragic to see yet another life lost and another family left without answers. The 6200 block of South King Drive—where he was found—has seen more than its share of violence, and it makes me think about how these communities are affected on a daily basis.
I can’t help but wonder about the potential witnesses or any kind of CCTV footage that might have captured something that night. Was the area too quiet, or were people just too afraid to come forward? It’s understandable, given the circumstances, but it’s frustrating to think that crucial information might be out there, just beyond reach. All this waiting and not knowing must be incredibly hard for anyone close to Derrick.
Hoping that someday soon, his family gets the answers they deserve. Has anyone heard of any updates or police statements over the years? Would love to hear your thoughts.
