Has anyone else found it odd that Volker and Herbert's belongings were left untouched in the car? It seems really strange that if someone was targeting them for their casino winnings, they wouldn’t have at least searched the car for other valuables. Leaving passports and suitcases behind suggests they were meant to return to the car, or maybe they left in a situation where they couldn't grab their stuff? It just doesn't add up. Maybe the suspects wanted it to look like they simply vanished? It’s frustrating to think that it’s been so many years with no progress. Thoughts on whether the location of the rental car could have been a deliberate misdirection?

Has anyone else looked into the odd circumstances surrounding Volker and Herbert's rental car being found at Lucky Boy Pass? It seems strange to me that all their important belongings were left in the car, especially their passports, which you'd think they'd definitely need for their travels. Abandoning those just doesn't make sense unless they really couldn't take them. ? Could it have been a planned stop that went wrong, or maybe they trusted the wrong person who led them out there? I'm just puzzled by how they could simply vanish without leaving a trail. What are your thoughts on this? Is there a possibility they met someone at the casino who might have had a hand in this?
