Has anyone else dug into the weather conditions around the time *Frolic* was found wrecked? I was just reading an article about Reginald Butler’s disappearance and started thinking about how much a role the stormy weather might have played. We know *Frolic* was designed by Reginald himself, which makes me wonder about both the construction and his seamanship skills. He was a retired naval architect, after all, so you'd think the boat was put together with expertise in mind. But even the most experienced sailors can be at the mercy of the weather. It's curious how *Frolic* ended up on that jetty and also makes me wonder if anything unusual about the storm or environmental patterns during that time could give us more insight. Anyone else come across detailed weather reports from that era or have thoughts on how such factors might've impacted his journey?
