Has anyone delved into the weather conditions on June 15, 1997, around San Juan Island? Given Dan Bentzen and James Patrick McElhenie's last sighting was on a boat, I'm curious if there were any reports of rough seas or unexpected weather shifts that day. I haven't stumbled upon any detailed information about this in the previous discussions. Sometimes, maritime disappearances can be heavily influenced by sudden weather changes. If anyone has access to historical weather data or remembers anything specific from that time, it could shed some light on what might have happened.
