I've been following the case of Shoneka Lars and am truly saddened by the impact this has had on the community. I can't help but think about how domestic issues can spiral out of control in such devastating ways. It's horrifying to imagine the fear and confusion she must have felt in those moments. Her family and friends are in a difficult spot right now, grappling with the loss of someone they described as incredibly kind-hearted. I'm also thinking about Donnell Crosby and his loved ones, who now have to deal with the loss and lingering questions. It's incredibly important for us as a community to support one another and encourage speaking out in domestic situations.
