I've been thinking a lot about the children who were in the apartment during that awful incident in Stockton. I can’t even imagine the trauma they must be going through, especially the ones who were unharmed yet witnessed such horrific events. It's painful to think about how their lives have been irreversibly changed. These kids deserve so much support and compassion right now. I hope there are resources available to help them through this, both immediately and in the long term. Does anyone know if there’s any local organization providing counseling or aid for children who experience such traumatic incidents? My heart goes out to Shepard’s family, and I’m especially praying for her son’s recovery. No child should ever have to endure something this traumatic. Wishing strength and healing to everyone affected.

I can't stop thinking about the bravery of the officers responding to such a volatile situation. It must have been incredibly tense knowing children were involved and under such threat. It's chilling just imagining being in their shoes, knowing that every decision could mean the difference between life and death for those kids. It’s gut-wrenching that Keyera’s young son is now fighting for his life because of someone who was supposed to protect and cherish them. I hope this tragic incident rings loud enough for more robust legal protections for victims of domestic violence. Thinking of the officers and the families here, especially little Keyera's son. Hoping for healing and justice for them all.
