Has anyone else been following the Marshall Carter case? The tragic loss of another life to gun violence in Chicago is so daunting. I was reading about how the police use these detailed homicide maps to try and predict areas where violence might occur next. I can't help but wonder if this approach truly helps or if it's just reacting after the fact. It’s clear that the underlying issues, like economic hardships and gang rivalries, play a huge role. It seems like more proactive measures need to be in place. My thoughts are with Marshall’s family during this incredibly tough time. I just hope the authorities and the community can work together to create lasting changes that prevent these senseless acts from happening again.
