I’ve been following Mark Thompson’s case closely, and one thing that stands out to me is the role technology played in catching the suspects. It’s both chilling and fascinating how the license plate readers were instrumental in tracking down Michael and Kayla Brooks. Considering they made it all the way to Blaine, Washington, it’s a relief to see tech being used so effectively to prevent them from potentially disappearing even further. My heart goes out to Mark’s family; I can’t imagine the rollercoaster of emotions they’re experiencing with each development. It’s crucial that we, as a community, continue to support them in any way possible and keep the dialogue open to ensure justice is served. What are everyone else’s thoughts on how tech like this is changing the way crimes are solved?
