Hi everyone, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the Whitemarsh Memorial Park incident from March. I find it extremely unsettling how a gathering meant to peacefully honor a friend's memory could descend into such chaos. My thoughts go out to Daniel Hawkins' family and friends as they navigate these overwhelming emotions. I've been reflecting on the weapon dynamics in this case. The illegal modification of Hawkins' firearm into a fully automatic weapon is deeply troubling. It makes me wonder about the broader issue of how accessible these dangerous "switch" devices have become and the dire consequences they precipitate. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the hazards that arise when firearms fall into the wrong hands. It's tragic how a commemorative event turned into a nightmare for everyone involved. Hoping for healing and justice for Tyrek and now Daniel's families. Stay safe, everyone.
