I've been reading about the terrible loss of Juan Martinez-Serrano and it just doesn't get easier seeing how these senseless acts affect families and communities. It’s especially tough thinking about his family, who now have this devastating hole in their lives. I keep wondering about the local efforts or any community outreach programs aimed at providing support to victims' families. Does anyone here know if there are groups in Chicago, especially in areas like Archer Heights, that are focused on this? It seems like in the aftermath of these tragedies, there needs to be more awareness and understanding about how to support those left behind. Every bit of community connection helps in preventing future heartache and potentially in healing these deep wounds. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved Juan.
