I’ve been following the tragic events surrounding Tysheer Hankinson's murder, and my heart really goes out to his family and friends. It's incredibly difficult to see young lives cut short in such gut-wrenching ways. What really strikes me is the eerie proximity of his murder scene on Poplar Street to where Hezekiah Bernard was found. It's only a few blocks apart, yet it feels worlds away for the families affected. I can't help but wonder about the community's sentiment and how people in that area are coping. Do residents feel safe? Are there more stories we're not hearing about because of fear in coming forward? If anyone in West Philly has insights on how the community is holding up or any initiatives going on to foster healing and prevent such tragedies, it would be insightful to hear. As difficult as this all is, I genuinely hope for some closure for both families soon. We must all continue to support each other and help the authorities with any information we might have.
