I’ve been thinking a lot about Danny Matthews and the tragic circumstances surrounding his death. He seemed like such a hard-working guy, just trying to make a living like any of us would. It breaks my heart to know he was taken away in such a violent manner. The fact that he was doing his job, delivering pizzas, something so routine, and never got to go home... it's really upsetting. This kind of senseless violence makes me fear for those trying to live their daily lives in peace.
I've read up on how the incident occurred right after Danny returned from a delivery run. It really hits home that it could have been anyone in his position. I can't even begin to imagine what his family and friends are going through, having to deal with such a sudden and terrible loss.
Does anyone else think more could be done to protect delivery drivers or just people working late at night in general? It's concerning that someone could be targeted while just doing their job. My thoughts are with Danny's loved ones. Let's hope justice is served, and perhaps future policies can help prevent such tragedies from happening again.
