Hey everyone. I've been reading through the posts and wanted to share my thoughts on something that’s been weighing on me about Kiko's case. From what I’ve gathered, Kiko was really loved by his community, and it just breaks my heart to think about how his family and friends must be coping with everything. I remember seeing an interview with one of Kiko's childhood friends who talked about how Kiko was always the kind of guy who wanted to make sure everyone around him was having a good time. It seems like he really touched a lot of lives, and it’s just devastating how quickly that was taken away from all those he loved and who loved him. I'm hopeful that sharing our thoughts here and supporting each other can help keep his memory alive. Gun violence affects so many, but maybe by making continued efforts to bring attention to cases like Kiko's, we can start to see some positive change — even if it's just by showing that these lives matter and won’t be forgotten.

Has anyone else been reading about Jermin Beganovic's case? This tragedy happened almost six years ago now, and I still find myself thinking about it. What stands out to me is how his death, like so many others, got caught up in the broader narrative of Chicago's gun violence problem. But beyond the statistics, it's easy to forget Jermin, or "Kiko" as his loved ones called him, was a person with his own dreams and future. I can't imagine the pain his family must feel still. Every life lost ripples through so many communities, and it's a stark reminder that these are not just numbers but real people. How can we support those who continue to be affected by this violence, and what can we do to prevent more lives from being cut short?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Jermin "Kiko" Beganovic, and my heart goes out to his loved ones. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through. One aspect I keep thinking about is the role of community programs in areas plagued by violence.
Chicago has such an incredible community spirit, yet it's really tough to see bright lives, like Kiko's, cut short by senseless violence. Does anyone know if there were initiatives or neighborhood projects aimed at reducing violence in the O'Hare area around that time? Are there any success stories from other parts of the city that could offer hope or solutions? Kiko's passing is a glaring reminder that more needs to be done to protect people and foster safe, supportive communities. Maybe if we can untangle some of these issues, fewer families would have to endure such immense loss.
Sending strength and love to all those affected by this tragedy.
