It’s deeply disturbing to learn more details about Treonna Washington’s case. I keep thinking about the role of bystanders in situations like these. It’s chilling to know that someone witnessed the events leading up to her tragic death. I wonder if they could have intervened or called for help sooner. We can't put all the blame on witnesses, but it raises the conversation about what we do when we see someone in danger. I hope this case prompts more awareness and discussion about how to act in these situations. My heart goes out to Treonna’s family and friends who have to endure such an unimaginable loss.
