It's really upsetting to hear about the loss of Charles Maxie Jr., especially considering he was a Navy veteran with a kind heart. One thing I've been wondering about is how quickly the CMPD acted in arresting Cedric Thompson. From what I gather, their Violent Criminal Apprehension Team was crucial in nabbing him so fast. It raises questions for me about whether Thompson was already on their radar before this tragic incident. Sometimes it feels like there's so much going on under the surface that we don't see until something terrible happens. Does anyone know if there were any prior incidents or if Thompson was already known to the CMPD? Sending my thoughts to Maxie's family and hoping for justice.
