I can’t stop thinking about the impact this must have had on Jayden's classmates and teachers at Kinston High School. Losing a fellow student in such a violent and sudden manner is tremendously difficult, especially for young people who are already trying to navigate the challenges of being a teenager. I hope that the school has provided ample resources and support for those students who were close to him. It's also concerning to think about how much violence seems to be perpetuated by and against young people. The fact that the suspects in this case are only a year older than Jayden is just tragic on so many levels. I really hope that this is a wake-up call for the community to address what might be causing these teens to engage in such dangerous behavior. My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I hope that they can find some peace as justice is pursued.
