What's been really weighing on my mind about Miguel Ortiz's case is the impact it must have had on those who knew him beyond just his family and close friends. From what I read, he was not only a tattoo artist but also a mentor to many budding artists in Winston-Salem. I can't help but think about those aspiring artists who looked up to him and how they must be processing this loss. It's like losing a guiding light and an incredible source of inspiration. I remember seeing posts from his clients about how much he cared about bringing their stories and memories to life through his art. I've read stories of folks who went back to him time and again, not just because of his incredible skills but because of his welcoming spirit. Losing someone like Miguel, who seemed to have made such personal connections through his work, must be incredibly devastating to the entire community. It's a jarring reminder that tragedies like this affect so many layers of a community. I sincerely hope that justice is served, and those who remember Miguel can find some peace as well. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act.
