Has anyone else been following the discussion about the increase in armed robberies around Goldsboro recently? It's so concerning to see something like this happen in our own community, especially when people like Alexander Thomas, who contributed so much both through his military service and as a part of our local businesses, are the ones paying the price. I can’t even begin to imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. As a community, we need to come together to support them and to push for stronger security measures to protect those working in retail. Does anyone know if there have been any community meetings or initiatives started in response to this tragedy? I'd love to see more done to prevent such senseless violence in the future.

I’ve been following the case of Alexander Thomas and can't stop thinking about his military background. It’s truly difficult to believe how someone who bravely served the country for 12 years could return home and face such a tragic end. The transition from military to civilian life is already a daunting task, and it’s saddening to see how his life, filled with service and integrity, was cut short just as he was building a new chapter. My heart goes out to his family, especially his son. Losing a parent is never easy, and I hope the community continues to support them through this unimaginable time. It's important to remember Alexander not only for the tragedy but for the impact he had on those around him.
