Did anyone else catch that update on the arrest of Tywon Orlando Walker in connection to Gevontae Morrison’s murder? It’s such a relief to see some movement in the case. It breaks my heart to think about how Gevontae’s family must be feeling, knowing that justice might finally be within reach. What really strikes me about this situation is the level of fear or reluctance people might have had in coming forward sooner. It’s understandable but frustrating. I hope that now with Walker's arrest, it encourages anyone with information to speak up. Morrison's murder hit the community hard, and this is a step towards healing. Fingers crossed that the cooperation improves and sheds more light on what exactly happened that night.
